Kalu and the Woodsters are a
group of colorful, animated characters who entertain children with songs and skits
containing educational messages that promote safety and awareness.
Utilizing a compilation of
strategically written songs, books and games developmentaly appropriate for ages 2 to 8,
Kalu and the Woodsters perform live shows that are undeniably well received by both
parents and children. They have reached thousands of children through parades, concerts,
corporate and community events, YMCA's, Division of Parks and Recreations and Elementary Schools.
Their performances are
effective in raising awareness for child abuse prevention because
children are coming forward after watching their shows.
Kalu and the Woodsters have been appointed '
Ambassadors for Child Safety and
Welfare', by Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), due to the efforts they have made to protect our children from abuse and
neglect.
